As an educational therapist, Karen is able to work with families, teachers, and other professionals to help students with a variety of learning challenges, including but not limited to dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD, executive function deficits, language, visual and auditory processing issues. She provides personalized remedial instruction geared toward helping students develop self-confidence and independence.

What is an educational therapist?

• A vital role of the educational therapist is to serve as case manager, working in collaboration with family, teachers, and other professionals involved in the client’s life.
  
• Educational therapy is the practice of providing personalized remedial instruction to children and adults with learning challenges, including but not limited to dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning deficits, and language, visual and auditory processing issues.
  
• Therapists combine educational and therapeutic approaches for evaluation, intensive individualized intervention, case management, and advocacy on behalf of children, adolescents, and adults with learning differences or other learning problems.
