exists to give hope to those who struggle with dyslexia and other learning differences. We identify dyslexia or other learning differences and prescribe a strategy for overcoming those differences and assist the student in learning how to view his/her out-of-the-box thinking as an advantage.

Karen holds both a B.A. in Special Education and an M.Ed. in Reading from Harding University. She has taught for over 20 years in a variety of classroom settings, including elementary special education, high school Spanish and college English. She’s been a dyslexia tutor since 2015 and is certified at the advanced level in the Barton program. She trained with Susan Barton to become a Barton screener and consultant. Karen is also certified by the Texas Education Agency in Special Education and by the Association of Christian Schools International as a Reading Specialist.
Karen is also an Associate Educational Therapist and a member of AET. Education therapy can help students who have broad reading, writing or math difficulties or who struggle with executive function skills like time management, organization, self-regulation, flexibility and task initiation.
